By following these structured steps, Agroking Uganda ensures the production of nutritious, high-quality maize products that meet customer expectations and contribute to sustainable agriculture in Uganda.
We partner with a network of over 300 local farmers, whom we train in sustainable agricultural practices and post-harvest handling. This direct sourcing guarantees a consistent supply of high-quality maize while supporting the livelihoods of these farmers.
Quality checks are conducted throughout the supply chain to ensure that only the best maize reaches our facilities. Upon arrival, maize undergoes rigorous inspection and testing for moisture content, color, texture, and cleanliness to maintain consistency in our products.
Maize sourced from various farmers is collected and stored in a central location, where it is consolidated to streamline processing. This aggregation step allows us to manage inventory efficiently and ensures a reliable supply for continuous production.
Before processing, maize goes through a pre-cleaning stage to remove any foreign matter, such as stones, stalks, or chaff. This step is critical to maintaining food safety and protecting the machinery during later stages.
We add a controlled amount of water to the maize to facilitate the removal of the bran, making the grain ready for milling. This conditioning process softens the grain for smoother milling and improves the texture and quality of the final product.
During this stage, maize is milled into various products, including high-grade fortified flour. This step focuses on value addition, where the maize flour is refined and packed, ready to serve various market needs.
Our maize flour is enriched with essential vitamins and minerals to address nutritional deficiencies in the community. The fortification process, which incorporates nutrients like iron, zinc, and folic acid, enhances the health benefits of our products, making them a premium choice for health-conscious consumers.
